About Chalk Creek Ranch

Our horses are born and trained in the mountains, with green pastures to nurture their growth and easy-living, peaceful lives. The ranch property surrounds year-round-flowing Chalk Creek; pastures feature fallen timbers, hills, and trails where young horses learn excellent footing and become fearless of the natural landscape.

When you buy a Chalk Creek Ranch horse, you purchase an animal carefully bred and nurtured since birth. We encourage a proper education especially suitable for a "user-friendly" relationship with new owners. Our reputation as well as the health and future happiness of our horses depends on our commitment to support our customers after the purchase.

We emphasize safety in all dealings with horses and follow established guidelines in our farm safety program. We help customers make informed decisions about safety in their operations.

Vic Rainey and Pamela Chapman personally handle all aspects of ranch operations. They handle the horses' care, training, and obedience lessons; keep veterinary and financial records; plan the breeding program; place advertising; maintain pastures and fences; and yes, we even clean and groom each horse from the day of foaling to the day of sale.

Check out our SALES LIST for pictures and descriptions of current top horses.

Free Weekend Getaway with your purchase.

Be our guests for a weekend at our ranch on Chalk Creek. Vic and Pamela will instruct you in our training techniques - on the trail, in the round pen - as well as grooming and handling techniques.

Become acquainted with "your horse" in familiar territory and become friends during this comfortable transition of ownership.

P. S. Vic makes a wonderful Sunday brunch with sourdough waffles and smoked pork chops.

Have a Horse Business of Your Own? Want More Time in the Saddle Instead of Behind the Desk?

Besides breeding and training wonderful Arab and 1/2 Arab horses, owner Pamela Chapman is an experienced accountant with the proper training, experience, and computer capability to handle your "horse business" accounting. In addition to basic accounts payable and receivable function, Pamela will compile a "Schedule F" for your tax return each year and keep records for scheduled veterinarian visits, farrier visits, grooming, and feeding schedules. She even sends out billings to your customers. With e-mail, facsimile, and express mail capabilities, we offer a cost-effective and timely alternative.
